My name is Jillian Armontrout. I help complete intakes, scheduling and other administrative duties to assist our team. I have both worked and volunteered in a variety of mental health settings including those that service foster families, legal guardianships, and houseless individuals. I received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Oregon State University. I am drawn to the field of therapy because I think it is important for people to be able to actively engage in growth with themselves and their relationships. I am excited to join the Estes team and help clients get started on their therapeutic journey!

I received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. This helped me discover that I wanted to enter into the field of mental health services. Previously I was a front desk administrator at a large behavioral health company in Portland, Oregon. I have always wanted to work in a smaller, close knit therapy practice. When I found this Administrative Assistant job at Estes Therapy in San Diego, I knew it was the perfect fit.

My advice for someone considering counseling would be that there is never a better time to start to work on yourself and your relationships with others, than today! If someone is nervous about calling to get started on therapy, I would say that calling in and acknowledging there is an issue, is the hardest part. It takes a brave and willing person to reach out and ask for help. I am happy to talk you through the services provided here at Estes Therapy. We are all here to help succeed and feel comfortable.

When I’m not working, I love to spend as much time outside as possible! Walking, hiking or hanging out on the beach are just a few of my favorite things to do. This year I hope to spend more time growing plants and doing some DIY projects. In the future I hope to pursue a Master’s degree in Counseling.
