Let’s face it, at times, it’s hard to be human. We all go through difficult times in our life. Therapy offers a safe place, away from the entanglements of your daily life, where you can process, regroup, and reconnect with a happier self.
Need help making it through a difficult time? My name is Echo Gaffney and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 8 years experience working with adults, children, couples, and families. My specialties are working with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction and substance abuse. I have worked with students at the University of San Diego, Veterans in recovery at the Veterans Village of San Diego, adults in crisis at Turning Point Crisis Center, and individuals, couples and families in several private practice settings. My training includes evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1.)
As a therapist, I focus on a holistic approach of mind, body, and spirit to ensure that we as humans feel connected to others, feel a part of a larger whole, and reconnect with a happier inner peace. My goal is to bring comfort to people’s lives by helping them to better support themselves. It’s hard to be human, but it doesn’t have to be.
