Biography

I am a San Diego native, a graduate of SDSU with a BA in History, and National University with an MA in Counseling Psychology. I am an Associate Marriage and Family therapist and I love working with both couples and individuals toward the version of yourself or your relationship that you hope to create.

My journey to becoming a therapist began several years ago as a client in therapy myself—I was in crisis, feeling hopeless and desperate. I know how difficult it can seem when a relationship seems broken beyond repair, and I know what it takes to finally schedule that first appointment. I know it’s one of the most courageous steps you’ll ever take.

I also know what it feels like to become the version of yourself you had always hoped was buried inside but weren’t quite sure. I know what it takes to heal, uncover your own wisdom, find wholeness and joy, and experience a restored and strengthened relationship. I’d consider it an honor to walk with you as you do the same.

What I hope you’ll find within the first sessions of therapy is that you are not alone, your story is not too much, and you are worthy of the healing that you seek. Whether you are grieving, struggling in your relationship, dealing with a major life transition, suffering under the weight of trauma, navigating a faith transition, or just generally feeling “stuck,” I hope you’ll come away from our sessions with a felt sense that—to paraphrase the wisdom of Glennon Doyle—life is hard because it’s hard; not because you’re doing it wrong.
