Jennine Estes PowellOur Founder: Built on Decades of EFT Expertise

Estes Therapy was founded by Jennine Estes Powell, LMFT, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 20 years of experience helping couples heal, reconnect, and build lasting bonds.

Jennine discovered EFT early in her career under the direct supervision of Dr. Lisa Palmer-Olsen and Dr. Mark Kaupp, certified EFT trainers in San Diego. She also learned from Dr. Scott Woolley and Rebecca Jergensen, EFT Trainers. Witnessing first-hand how EFT transformed couples who had tried everything else, she made it the cornerstone of Estes Therapy, and has since built the practice into the most EFT-trained group practice in San Diego, conducting over 800+ sessions every month with a primary focus on relationships.

What We Stand For: We don't put a Band-Aid on it. We get to the root

At Estes Therapy, we believe relationships deserve more than surface-level solutions. We are San Diego’s premier couples counseling practice because every therapist on our team has committed to deep, ongoing EFT training, from Externship through Core Skills, Attachment Injury Repair (AIRM), and beyond. We treat couples across every challenge: conflict, disconnection, affairs, grief, and everything in between. Our goal is long-lasting change, not quick fixes.

Why Estes Therapy: San Diego's Most Couples Counseling Trained Practice

Full EFT Training Pathway

Many of our therapists complete the full training of EFT Externship, Core Skills, Attachment Injury Repair Model (AIRM), advanced intensives, and ongoing supervision, making our team among the most thoroughly trained in couples counseling all of Southern California.
