We want you to leave your therapy experience feeling in tune with yourself, fulfilled, and confident in being able to cultivate the life you want to live. You’ll be given tools and taught skills to help you navigate life’s challenges, as well as heal from old wounds.

Marriage & Couples Counseling

Not seeing eye-to-eye? Get on the same page with couples therapy

Marriage is a partnership. A team. You agree to work with your partner through the good times and the bad. You work to share this life together, in its ups and downs. This can be a lot more work than it sounds. Especially if you and your partner need to relearn how to communicate to feel heard and understood.

Through couples counseling you will reconnect, strengthen your bond, and gain the tools to navigate tough conversations. You will be able to identify your negative patterns and learn better conflict resolution. You’ll team up to overcome what is causing distance in your relationship.

Your therapist is a compassionate and empathetic neutral third party. We’re trained to hear the underlying meaning in these tough conversations. Like the reaches for connection that get covered by defensiveness or blame. You will learn how to bring your partner closer to you and build stronger, secure relationship bonds.

Premarital Counseling

Learn skills and get the tools to have the strongest start to your marriage

Counseling isn’t always about fixing problems, it’s also about developing tools to help mitigate issues in the future. Nobody tells you how to “be married.” Learning to share your life with someone is complicated.

We often hear that love is enough to keep two people together. Love is a beautiful thing, but marriage is about much more than love. It’s about learning to work and live together, finding common ground, and practicing compromise. It is about encouraging one another, sharing dreams, and learning to deal with life’s stressors as a unit.

With premarital counseling you will learn how to identify when something is putting distance in your relationship. As well as how to come together to team up against it. Premarital counseling can help you plan a future together that is in the image of your desires, dreams, and goals.

Divorce

Get help with the grief, decision making, and confusion that comes with divorce.

There are many paths that lead a couple to divorce. No matter the reason, divorce is a complicated thing for families to go through. Whether you are a couple of two, or you have a large family with children, divorce can leave lasting scars for everyone.

In order to provide some closure for partners, we offer counseling to work through those issues so that there are no unanswered questions. Not knowing what happened can devastate a person. Working through the separation amicably makes the most impact and allows people to move on after a divorce.

LGBT Counseling

We pride ourselves on being a LGBTQ practice, run by a lesbian owner!

The journey toward becoming your true self starts with being honest with yourself about who you are. Of course, this is easier said than done for a lot of people.

We can help you develop a strong support system to ensure that you get to live the life you want. We will give you the tools to navigate religious, cultural, ethnic, and social barriers to you being your authentic self.

There’s no denying that it can be difficult for gay and lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered couples to find their place in the world. With issues such as family isolation, religious rejections, and social attacks, it can be scary for a couple to pronounce their love to the world.

We want to work to make that a joyous time in your life, instead of a scary one. After all, you deserve to be loved, accepted, and happy.
